Bad To The Bone!

Yes, Todd did it again. Dean has another mohawk. I'm hoping the two of them will get this out of their systems before he starts public school next year. First Baptist Daycare / Preschool don't know what they are in for this week.

MIA!

This post has been a few days coming - but we've had computer issues. As of last Wednesday, we now have a puppy. She came with the name Brownie (but with permission of former owner) we have renamed her MIA. The name came from Todd - he reasoned that since that was going to be the name of our next girl, and this is the next girl it goes to her.

Mia has really made herself a part of our family. Dean, of course, absolutely adores her. Kate is still skittish. The plan is to crate train - but the past couple days I have been sick and when I've come downstairs in the a.m. - guess who is asleep on the fouton with Todd?? Or in bed with Dean? We'll see how long this crate training idea lasts.

Note - Dean's hair (or lack thereof). Todd's doing.

Thinking Day!

Kate had her first Daisy - Girl Scouts event this Saturday, February 2. We all met up at Cannongate Elementary for the event. Kate is part of Troop 133 - which created a table and skit for two countries - China and Holland. Kate was in the China group.

Each girl got a passport and went to each country (there were about 15 represented) and got a stamp from the country and a "swap". The swaps are tokens of sorts that represent the country - so that the girls will think about the girls scouts in each of the countries - hence, thinking day.

Kate and the other two daisies held some "Chinese signs" while the rest of their group were the Chinese lion. Everyone had a great time - and Kate, of course, love dressing up like a China girl.

SNOW DAY!!

(be patient w/me - I'm figuring out how to place the pictures -- this is my first blog.)

Today Newnan got snow! Which is typical Georgia
weather (70 degrees last week - snow today). And, of course
on a Saturday so that it doesn't disrupt school or work.
Nonetheless we made due. Todd, Dean, Kate and I went out and had fun building a snow "short person", made snow angels, and just generally threw snowballs at eachother. Oh the good times.
Kate of course tried to come outside in a skirt and her Belle dress up shoes but after a few trips back into the house finally made it out in appropriate attire.
Dean got to ride his bike on the wet driveway - fortunately no ice yet so it wasn't completely unsafe. All in all we have had a great day outside followed by hot chocolate by the fire once we came inside to warm up.
