Easter!

Kate and Dean - egg finders extraordinaire
We had a huge turn out and I think everyone had a blast!

Sunday turned out a bit cooler than Saturday had been. Still - it was a great Easter.

Dean of course would rather play than pose for pictures.

Aunt Jana, Dean, Kate and Uncle Gary.

One big happy family.

Cedar Grove Runners take on 5k

Yes - those of us that made it out and braved the weather (which turned out to be beautiful) ran a 5k in PTC this morning. All four of us (from left: Romeo and Jodi Brinkley, ME, and my Sista - aka: Jana Kato) performed at and above our expectations and goals. Not a bad morning.

Hanging Out - Thursday 3/13/08

Nothing particularly "happening" - just a few shots of the kiddos playing after a long day.

Could never quite get Mia and Dean to both look at me. She is getting quite big - quite fast. We (or atleast Dean and I) love having her. Our evening ritual after work / school has been to take her on a walk in the neighborhood behind our house. Wears out two in one.

All boy - doesn't know the meaning of the word "can't"

all girl. Note the pink shoes, shirt and ball. "I think I broke a nail"

Kate and her friends, our neighbors: Tori and Taylor.

Trip to South Carolina! (3/7 - 3/9)

Kate, Dean and I drove up to Mom and Reggie's for a weekend. As you can see, for those that don't know - they collect antiques. Which, Dean being the bull -- you get the idea.

It was a nice weekend. Didn't get to do as much as we normally would because of the weather - spent a lot of time hanging out inside. Wanted to get a picture of the kiddos at the Jockey Lot (massive flea market) but the weather just didn't cooperate. We all had a great time and it was great seeing Mom and Reggie - if even for such a short time.

Lolly, a Jack Russell Terrier, is getting on in years and wasn't for having much of Dean - who is now used to playing with Mia.

Kate's First Soccer Game

Kate is playing soccer! First, they practice for thirty minutes...

which is good b/c we don't have a lot of soccer experience. Unless you count the practice in the backyard with Todd - which resulted in Kate and Dean doing push ups everytime they touched the ball.

Then, they played for thirty minutes. No goalies - 4 kids on a side. A couple look like they know what's going on. The rest, Kate included, are just trying to kick the ball. (by the way, this wasn't the goal we were trying to kick the ball into)

In the end Kate had a blast. She now gets to hang out with a couple of her buddies from the daycare days...Mary Patton and Megan. And after a hard game of soccer the three got to kick back with a couple cold ones (juice that is) and cookies and catch up on old times.
